NYC subway in the 80’s

I love the 80’s but I adore the grunge and dirty style of New York at that time. Today is very cleaned up and the city is renovating itself all the time, the Duane Reade store are now all new and good looking. When I moved to New York in 2008 the store where still kind of dirty looking and the east village was more trashy than it is now.. slowly the city is cleaning itself up and becoming more equal. Williamsburg is now getting the same effect of looking year after year more like the city.
Here is an other cool video to look at from the NYC subway in the 80’s
Funny enough, the graffiti were cleaned but most of the car are still the same, the MTA is slowly (very slowly) adding new cars but they take their time.
To me it seems that the city is loosing it’s old charm but what can you do? You could let anything dirty, right?
And if you ever wondered what is the MTA doing with old cars? You will probably find those pictures interesting:

Express review: War Horse

I was pretty excited to go to see the movie and honestly had good hope about the movie but it wasn’t what I thought. Sure the art direction is good and the photography as well. The music is also good as always but what about the story. I can’t relate or attach myself to the characters. It is maybe just me but I don’t feel the movie.
Supercut - Keep on walking
There is pretty cool supercut of many movies using the Steadicam to track an actor from behind. I always like it and it is always a sweet feeling. I definitely like to use it in order to place the character arriving in an environment.
